1. Memory Remains: Francesc Torres. Imperial War Museum London. From Friday.
A photography exhibition marking the 10th Anniversary of 9/11. The empty shell of Hangar 17 at JFK Airport became a storehouse of memories when it was filled with the material cleared from the World Trade Center site following the September 11 attacks on New York City.
2. John Cage: Every Day is a Good Day. Hayward Gallery. All Week.
John Cage was one of the leading avant-garde composers of the 20th century, most famous perhaps for his silent work of 1952, 4’33”. This exhibition includes prints, watercolours and drawings made during the final 15 years of his life, including his extraordinary Ryoanji series.
3. Rivers of the World. gallery@oxo. All Week.
Rivers of the World is a visual arts and design project which links over 2,000 young people around the world through common river themes. FREE
4. Our Days of Rage and Orpheus & Eurydice. The Old Vic Tunnels. From Thursday.
The National Youth Theatre of Great Britain presents a month-long season. Our Days of Rage, written in response to the uprisings across North Africa, the Middle East and Middle England will run alongside a new version of the ancient Orpheus myth, entitled Orpheus & Eurydice, a gripping love story underground.
5. Super 8 - The IMAX Experience. BFI IMAX. All Week.
In the summer of 1979, a group of friends in a small Ohio town witness a catastrophic train crash while making a super 8 movie and soon suspect that it was not an accident.
6. Double Feature. National Theatre. All Week.
Two double bills of new plays performed in the Paintframe - a pop-up performance space backstage at the National Theatre.
7. The Seafarer. Southbank Centre. All Week.
Explore the mysterious and normally unseen utility corridors and boiler rooms underneath Royal Festival Hall as part of a tour based on the old English poem.
8. The Museum of 1951. Southbank Centre. All Week.
As Southbank Centre’s Festival of Britain Celebrations draw to a close on 4 Sept be sure to visit this free exhibition of artworks and memorabilia from the 1951 festival, while you still can.

9. The Beauty Queen of Leenane. Young Vic. All Week.
High in the mountains of Galway lives a lonely spinster, Maureen, and her devilishly manipulative mother Mag. Maureen longs for the romance that will spirit her away.
10. The Press Photographers’ Year 2011. National Theatre. All Week.
